Full disclosure: International Playground co-founder, Johnny Pizzolato, worked with Woodstock Farm Sanctuary on their press and events before starting his business with Virginia.
This was the first visit for our favorite vegan friends, Alex and Toyo. Noah Kalina, whose photographs of cabins in the New York Times best-selling Cabin Porn beautifully capture the magic of both the landscape and his subject, was a natural choice to document our time there.
Recently settled on new grounds in High Falls, the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary facility has limitless opportunity to lead the fight for animal rights. Founders Jenny Brown and Doug Abel have made it their life's work to educate the public about the atrocious treatment of most animals that are raised for food and to provide an oasis for the rescue and rehabilitation of the ones that are spared. As you can see from the photographs, Dali the llama really enjoyed the spotlight and did her best to edge Alex and Toyo out of the frame altogether. All of the animals we encountered seemed to be smiling and enjoying their new-found fate.
Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. It is run entirely by donations from the public. Donations go directly to feed and care for the animals, as well as fund advocacy efforts on behalf of farmed animals everywhere, and are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.
